Step 1 – Paper Technique

Start by applying 3 coats of Polar Bear to the roof of the house. Use a paper shape cutter or cut out your own small shamrocks. Place the damp paper cut-outs onto the roof randomly and then apply 3 coats of Green Acres over the papers. Once dry to the touch, remove the papers with a pin or toothpick, revealing the white underneath.

Step 2 – Antiquing Technique

Apply 3 coats of Kermit to the base of the house. Then use a wash of Black Lab to paint in the cracks of the chimney. Once dry, use a damp sponge to wipe the black off the chimney, leaving it only in the cracks. Apply 2-3 coats of Tin Man to the chimney, mostly avoiding the cracks so the black shows through. Repeat this step for the doorstep, adding texture manually if needed.

Step 3 – Adding Details

(Antique the door with Black Lab beforehand) Apply 3-4 coats of Pumpkin Pie to the shutters, top window frame, and door. Once dry, use a Fun Writer (or the back of a brush) to add random dot flowers on the shutters with Tweety Bird, Pool Party, This Li’L Piggy, and Polar Bear for the centers.

Step 4 – Rainbow Stripes

Paint the roof of the top window with stripes in rainbow order. Starting from the left: Jumpin’ Jelly, Anchors Away, Lime Ricky, Smiley Face, Orange Crush, and Red Blaze. Apply 3 coats of each color.

Step 5 – Final Touches

Use 3 coats of Old Yeller to paint the doorknob. Paint a small horseshoe next to the door and add some small gold coins to the front doorstep. Then, paint a 4-leaf clover onto the doorstep with 2-3 coats of Green Acres.

Step 6 – Decorative Dots

Use Polar Bear and a Fun Writer (or the back of a brush) to add dots around the base, directly under the roof. Let everything dry.

Step 7 – Glazing & Firing

Dip it into Clear Glaze and fire to cone 06!
