About Potfest in the Pens – Autumn

The Original Potters’ Market in the UK, established in 1994.

This event follows the same setup as the Spring edition but with a completely different selection of exhibitors—perfectly timed for Christmas shopping.

Experience a mix of well-established ceramic artists alongside emerging talent in an artisan marketplace filled with energy, creativity, and craftsmanship.

No art hype, no gallery glitz—just potters and public mixing in a relaxed, down-to-earth setting. Held under cover at Skirsgill Auction Mart, Penrith, this event ensures protection from the unpredictable Cumbrian weather.

Potters’ Competition

At each of the Potfest shows, potters are invited to enter a piece of work responding to a theme.

The theme for 2025 will be announced early in the new year. For reference, the 2024 theme was:

Hybrid – a mixture of two different things, resulting in something that has a little bit of both.

Vote for your favourite on the day for a chance to win free entry to all Potfest events for life with a Potfest Passport.
